Beth is the founder of My Homegrown Wellness, who specializes in cultivating positive relationships around eating and preparing foods, living with food allergies, and tick-borne conditions.
As part of Beth’s journey in life, she was diagnosed with 2 tick-borne conditions; Lyme Disease and Alpha-gal Syndrome which is a mammalian meat allergy and is far more complex than simply avoiding "red meat". This along with 3 others in her home who are also challenged with life-threatening food allergies and 2 with Lyme Disease, have given her a unique perspective.
For most of her career, she has held professional positions within Corporate America. Of course, these positions came with their own challenges and stress.
Although for the most part Beth enjoyed her career, she felt called to serve those affected with food allergies, tick-borne conditions and those looking to make lifelong changes regarding their health and well-being.
As a parent experienced with children diagnosed with social, emotional and academic disabilities, and having served the New Hampshire DOE as a trained Volunteer Special Education Advocate and Court Facilitator, she truly understands how exhausting, complicated and rewarding, this dynamic can be for her adult and minor aged clients.
Beth received her certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where she learned over 100 dietary theories and life coaching techniques . She is also a certified Second Degree Reiki (II) practitioner of the Usui System of Healing.
All of this, enables her to assist her clients in finding new ways to live a healthier and happier life. Offering tips and tricks along the way to make the transition more quickly and easily. In fact, many have said it’s been a “huge time saver” and some have gone as far to say “life saving”. (Planning and preparation decreases unnecessary risks for those with life threatening food allergies.)
Any opportunity to speak on food allergies, tick-borne conditions and health & wellness is always welcomed and sure to be an enlightening and inspiring experience for the audience.
